Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID)

Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), also called hypogammaglobulinemia, is an inherited (genetic) condition in which a person's immune system has trouble producing antibodies. People with common variable immunodeficiency usually begin to develop frequent infections while in their teens or twenties.
