Your hospital stay: When to call for help
While you are in the hospital, be sure to let your care team know if you have any new problems or if your symptoms get worse. For example:
- You feel like you might hurt yourself or someone else.
- You have new or worse chest discomfort.
- You have new or worse trouble breathing.
- You have a new or worse headache.
- You are confused and can't think clearly.
- You have new or worse lightheadedness or weakness.
- You have new or worse pain.
- You have new or worse nausea or vomiting.
- You have a new rash.
- You fell down, or you need help to get out of bed and move around.
- You have trouble with any of the lines, tubes, or devices attached to you.
