Genna Barnett, NP-C

Genna Barnett is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiology at The Chattanooga Heart Institute. She earned both a Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Memphis. Genna’s focus is on providing comprehensive cardiac care, with a particular interest in the needs of elderly patients. She also has extensive experience in primary care and geriatrics. Genna is committed to providing patient-centered care, treating each individual with dignity and respect. She values the cultural and spiritual beliefs of her patients and works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care. Her passion for cardiology began in nursing school, fueled by a family history of heart disease and a fascination with the complexities of the heart. She was inspired to become a provider after volunteering at a nursing home at the age of 11. In her free time, Genna enjoys watercolor painting and reading. She spends time with her boyfriend, his daughter, and her niece and nephew.
