We provide consultative visits for memory loss and falls assessments for adults 50 and older, along with a full geriatrics evaluation for those 55 and up. We also offer primary care for patients 55+. Our team includes a social worker who supports caregivers and helps with patient placement and equipment needs.
As you age, your body changes, and this can affect how medications work. For example, medications that are absorbed by fat may last longer in your body, and even common over-the-counter medications can cause confusion or memory issues. A geriatrician helps ensure your medications are working for you as you age.
If you or a loved one is experiencing any of the following, a geriatric care evaluation could be helpful:
Multiple health issues
Memory loss or confusion
Behavioral changes (e.g., anxiety, aggression, sleep issues)
Difficulty with daily activities or concerns about independence
Balance problems or difficulty walking
Weakness or muscle loss
Unexplained weight loss or nutrition concerns
Issues with managing medications (e.g., dizziness, falls)
