Test results are sent directly to your health care provider and can be viewed through MyChart. For additional information, please contact your doctor’s office. If you need a paper copy, you can obtain one from Health Information Services at the main campus by calling (423) 495-8285.

Preparation depends on the test. Some blood tests, like fasting glucose or cholesterol panels, may require fasting for 12-14 hours. Follow your doctor’s instructions for the best results.

The CHI Memorial Hospital Chattanooga lab is proud to hold multiple accreditations, reflecting our commitment to quality and safety. These include certifications from the Tennessee Department of Health, the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB). These recognitions ensure that our lab meets the highest standards for accurate testing and patient care.

We provide most standard lab tests, including blood tests to assess blood sugar, cholesterol levels, electrolytes and anemia. Our services also include microbiology and molecular testing. Additionally, we provide urine tests to detect urinary tract infections and diabetes.

Many standard blood and urine tests are covered by insurance. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for specific coverage details.

Most tests do not require an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome during our regular business hours.

Our focus is on standard lab testing. If your doctor orders specialized tests, we can process these for you or guide you to the appropriate facility.
