The CHI St. Vincent Sleep Center – West Little Rock is a nationally accredited, full-service sleep disorders center. We provide nighttime studies to uncover the presence and severity of sleep disorders. Our sleep medicine specialists diagnose and treat patients for a variety of conditions, including obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), insomnia and restless leg syndrome.

A sleep center is a medical facility that diagnoses and treats sleep disorders like sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and restless legs syndrome. Patients have the option of completing diagnostic studies at home using ambulatory monitoring technology.

Sensors monitor your brain activity, breathing, heart rate, oxygen levels and body movements while you sleep. With this information, our specialists can assess your sleep patterns and identify disorders.

You might need a sleep study if you experience: 

  • Chronic snoring 

  • Excessive daytime sleepiness

  • Symptoms of sleep apnea

  • Trouble falling asleep or waking up frequently at night

If left untreated, some sleep disorders may increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack or stroke.

In most cases, yes. Your doctor will provide a referral to our sleep center based on your symptoms. Please check with us or your health care provider to confirm.

 

You’ll need comfortable pajamas, toiletries, a book or device to help you relax, and any medications you take on a regular basis.

Most overnight sleep studies last between six and eight hours. Daytime studies for conditions like narcolepsy may require multiple sessions.

We accept most major insurance plans, but since coverage is frequently updated, we recommend that you check with your insurance company for details or call our office so we can help you verify coverage.
