Daniel Morissette

Chief Financial Officer

With more than 25 years of experience in health care, consulting and international business development, Dan Morissette brings broad financial expertise to his role as chief financial officer for CommonSpirit Health, a nonprofit Catholic health system created in February 2019 through the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health. The Chicago-based system operates 142 hospitals and more than 700 care sites across 21 states and includes a team of approximately 150,000 employees and 25,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians. The nonprofit’s anticipated FY 2019 revenue is approximately $30 billion. Across his career, Morissette has remained steeped in health care strategy, operations, and finance. He has led a number of successful partnerships, bond offerings, and acquisitions. Prior to CommonSpirit Health, he served as the chief financial officer of Dignity Health and the chief financial officer of Stanford Health Care. He also has held executive level positions with the University of Toledo, Medical University of Ohio; the Chicago Medical School and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Morissette has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from DePaul University.
