In a significant achievement, the Medtronic ALLEVIATE-HF research study, led by cardiologist and principal investigator Dr. David Zhang, has positioned CommonSpirit Health as the third highest enroller in the nation. The PNW cardiovascular research team is gaining recognition for its pioneering efforts and is on track to become the primary enroller in this groundbreaking cardiac trial, which leverages AI technology.

Dr. Zhang praised the dedication of the research nurses and expressed gratitude to key figures in CommonSpirit Health Research Institute (CSHRI) leadership, specifically acknowledging Mary Rydman, Director of Research Operations at CSHRI, and Dalia Sherif, Division Manager of Research Operations for the Pacific Northwest Region. He also highlighted the strategic contributions of Hannah Pleuger, cardiology ARNP at St. Michael Medical Center (SMMC) in Silverdale, for her vital role in study enrollment at SMMC. The Silverdale location, situated in an underserved area, is proving essential to advancing the study's goals.
