CHICAGO – September 29, 2023 - CommonSpirit Health has selected Michelle Johnson Tidjani, JD as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, effective October 2, 2023. Tidjani will serve as a member of the organization’s Executive Leadership Team and report to CEO Wright Lassiter III.
Tidjani joins CommonSpirit with more than 18 years of senior executive experience in the healthcare industry. As the organization’s Chief Administrative Officer, she will provide strategic oversight of the national budget, ensuring resource optimization across the organization, and implementing the health care ministry’s new operating model. In addition, Tidjani will have executive oversight of Corporate Governance, CommonSpirit’s partnership with the Morehouse School of Medicine, Enterprise Consulting, the Lloyd H. Dean Institute of Humankindness, Security and Emergency Management, National Meetings and Events, and the Office of the CEO which houses: Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging; Corporate Responsibility; Advocacy and Legislative Affairs; and Philanthropy.

Prior to joining CommonSpirit, Tidjani served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Henry Ford Health System. While there, she redesigned corporate governance and organizational structures across the enterprise and provided valuable insights and leadership in securing key academic and business partnerships. She has also served as Deputy Chief Legal Officer at The Cleveland Clinic, and as Senior Counsel for Tenet Healthcare. She spent her early career in private practice.

Tidjani received her bachelor’s degree in Government from Cornell University (with honors) and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. She will receive her master’s degree in Business Administration from Brown University and IE School of Business in May 2024.
