Your health is our priority. We believe in a strong partnership with you, where staying informed, actively participating in your care and maintaining open communication with our team ensures the best outcomes.

  • Let your provider know about any changes in your health, including hospital stays, specialist visits or emergency room trips.

We specialize in diagnosing and treating endocrine system disorders. This system includes glands that secrete hormones to regulate various body functions, such as growth, metabolism, reproduction and stress response. Key hormone-producing glands include:

  • Thyroid: Regulates metabolism, muscle, heart and digestive functions

  • Hypothalamus: Maintains internal balance (homeostasis)

  • Adrenal glands: Control blood pressure, metabolism, immunity and stress response

  • Pituitary gland: Regulates growth and reproduction

  • Parathyroid glands: Control blood calcium levels

  • Testes: Produce sperm and testosterone

When these glands do not produce the right amount of hormones, it can lead to various diseases, including:

  • Diabetes: A group of diseases that affect your body’s ability to use glucose, causing high blood sugar. Over time, this can damage organs such as the eyes, kidneys and nervous system.

  • Hyperthyroidism: A condition where excess thyroid hormone leads to symptoms such as weight loss, rapid heart rate, anxiety and fatigue.

  • Osteoporosis: A disease that weakens bones, increasing the risk of fractures.

  • Hyperaldosteronism: A condition that causes high blood pressure and low potassium levels.

  • Low Testosterone (Low-T): Leads to reduced muscle mass, fatigue, low libido, erectile dysfunction, depression and mood changes.

At CHI Memorial Endocrinology Associates, our specialists are dedicated to your care. While endocrine disorders can impact essential body functions such as growth, metabolism, sexual health and mood, many conditions can be treated by correcting hormone imbalances. Our team collaborates with surgeons and other specialists to help you manage your health effectively. If you're experiencing symptoms of an endocrine disorder or suspect a hormone imbalance, speak with your doctor and request a referral for an evaluation today.
