Primary care is the first point of contact for patients in the health care system. It focuses on preventing, diagnosing and managing a wide range of health issues. A primary care provider helps maintain your overall health, coordinates specialist care when needed and ensures continuity of care.

We provide a comprehensive evaluation of your overall health and a review of any concerns you may have. 

We measure your vital signs (including blood pressure, heart rate and temperature). Then, your primary care provider reviews your medical history, including any medications you're taking and past illnesses or surgeries. Your provider listens to your current health concerns and conducts a physical examination. The exam may include checking your heart and lungs, examining your abdomen and assessing any areas of concern. 

Depending on your age, gender and medical history, your provider may recommend certain screenings or tests, such as blood work or vaccinations. You'll have the opportunity to discuss any health goals or lifestyle changes you'd like to make, and your provider can offer guidance and support.

Yes. If you need more specialized care, we can connect you to experts in oncology, orthopedics, women’s care and many more — all within our health system.

Express care offers same-day services for minor, non-emergency conditions, including:

• Treatment for colds, flu, sore throat, and sinus infections

• Minor cuts, burns, or sprains

• On-site diagnostics such as X-rays and lab testing

• Sports or school physicals

• Vaccinations, including flu shots

Workplace care services include:

• Drug and alcohol testing

• Employee wellness programs and education

• Fitness-for-duty evaluations

• Injury care and management of workers' compensation cases

• Pre-employment and annual physicals

• Vaccinations and immunizations for workplace safety

Contact your provider’s office to request a medical release form. A signed, completed release form is required, and a fee may apply.

We accept most major insurance plans. All insurance copays, coinsurance and deductibles are due at the time of service. Please be prepared to settle these at check-out. We are committed to keeping costs low while providing high-quality care. To ensure accurate billing and timely communication, please inform our receptionist of any changes to your address, phone number or insurance information. This helps us file claims correctly and avoid unnecessary billing issues.

Yes. Virtual visits are available to new and existing patients using Zoom, a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform. New patients should call (859) 313-2255 to schedule an initial in-person visit.

Copays depend on your insurance. If you have a copay for in-person visits, it will also apply to virtual visits. You may receive a mailed request for payment.

An internet-enabled device (smartphone, tablet or computer) with a camera and speaker. If using cellular data, check with your carrier for potential charges. Depending on your visit, a thermometer, blood pressure monitor or flashlight may be helpful. We recommend choosing a private space with a strong internet connection.

No, virtual visits are never recorded. They are encrypted and HIPAA-compliant for your privacy.
