CHI St. Vincent’s generous benefits and compensation package includes:

  • Health plan: Comprehensive preferred provider health and prescription drug plan for full- and part-time employees, including prescription drug coverage.
  • Dental plan: Covers diagnostic and preventive care at 100%. Restorative and major services include co-insurance and deductible. Orthodontic services are available for dependent children. Lower costs and deductibles are offered with MetLife providers.
  • Vision: Annual exams, lenses and glasses; lower cost with EyeMed providers.
  • Flexible spending accounts: Pretax health and dependent care flexible spending accounts are available.
  • Life insurance: Supplemental life and AD&D insurance available in increments of $10,000. The combined plan maximum for basic and supplemental life is $750,000.
  • Dependent life insurance: Spouse life insurance available in increments of $10,000, up to $200,000. Life insurance for children available in increments of $2,000, up to $20,000.
  • Short-term disability: 60% of base pay, up to 26 weeks, after a one-week elimination period.
  • Long-term disability: 60% of base pay, up to $10,000 per month, after a 180-day elimination period.
  • CHI retirement plan: Employees can make pre-tax and Roth after-tax contributions up to the annual IRS maximum limits. CHI matches 100% of the first 1% of eligible pay and 50% of the next 5%, for a maximum of 3.5% of eligible pay. CHI also contributes 2.5% of eligible compensation, with a minimum of $1,000 annually. Employees are vested in the plan after three years of service.
  • 457(b) plan: Tax-deferred savings plan offering additional salary deferrals beyond 401(k) contributions.
  • Paid time off: Accruals are based on years of service.
  • Education assistance: Full-time employees are eligible for up to $5,250 in reimbursement per calendar year. Part-time employees are eligible for up to $2,625 annually.
  • Employee assistance program: Provides confidential, professional counseling to help employees and their families cope with personal issues and life changes.
  • Long-term disability protection: Provides 60% of income to eligible employees through age 65 or recovery.
  • Credit union: In-house credit union available.
  • Bereavement pay: Up to three days of paid time off for the death of immediate family members. Up to one day for other family members.
  • Adoption assistance: Reimbursement for some expenses related to the adoption process.
  • Jury duty: Employees who are summoned for jury duty will be paid for their scheduled hours without using accrued time off.

To apply for one of our residency training programs, please use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS®), a program of the Association of American Medical Colleges. This service is available for U.S. medical school graduates, international medical school graduates and fellowship applicants.

Application Deadline
Completed applications must be received by October 1.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Interview time frames vary by program but generally take place from October to February before the residency start date. 

  • Candidates must start the residency program within 5 years of completing their medical degree.

  • Candidates must meet all eligibility and selection criteria set by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

  • We consider international medical graduates who meet all eligibility criteria.

Matching process
All residency positions are filled through the National Residency Matching Program. Applications and supporting documents must be submitted electronically through ERAS.

Our criteria

  • Graduate of an accredited LCME medical school or AOA osteopathic medical school (prior to residency start date)

  • Apply within five years of medical school graduation

  • USMLE Step 1 CK, Step 2 CK, and Step 2 CS or COMLEX Level 1, 2, and Performance Evaluation (first attempts only)

  • International medical graduates must have a valid ECFMG certificate

  • Accepting positions for PGY-1

Documents for consideration
Applications and supporting documents must be submitted via ERAS by October 1. The program director will review ERAS applications that include the following:

  • Completed ERAS application

  • Personal statement

  • Current CV

  • Official medical school transcript

  • Dean's or MSPE letter

  • USMLE/COMLEX transcripts

  • Letters of recommendation from three clinical faculty members

Orientation process

Patient care orientation for new hire nurses provides a comprehensive overview and assessment of the tools and knowledge needed to deliver excellent patient care. During orientation, we highlight and review the resources and equipment available to nursing staff, along with discussions on current regulatory and compliance issues. We also offer a RN Residency Program, specifically designed to help new graduate nurses transition from student to licensed nurse.

As part of your development, we assess your critical thinking and interpersonal skills. This assessment will guide the creation of an individualized orientation plan to meet your specific learning and development needs.

Compact states

The Arkansas State Board of Nursing participates in the Nurse Licensure Compact, allowing RNs and LPNs licensed in one compact state to work in any other compact state.
